The Juice, Bub's and I at the Studious booth @ Artes Alley.
|
The 1st of let's hope many Artes Alley festival at the Rose Marine Theater got started this past sat Nov 5 2011 here in Fort Worth and I think its safe to say that it was a big hit. To be the first art market put together by the Rose Marine Theater I'd say there was a good turn out of people. People came and went thru out the evening but not before checking out all the goodies that local artists had to offer and exposed to the public. The market had anything from paintings, photography, independent labels of t-shirts, face paintings for the kids, music and many many other crafts.... I also gotta say that the event got a very well exposure of all sorts of different media out there. Something that I must say is that I think and believe that none of this probably would have not been possible if it wasn't for the one and only
Natalia Margarita. Her visions and encouragement to other artists are the reasons that the art movement in this city seems to be heading to a very promising future. As you people know me, you know that I am not an artists nor I call myself one but I can definitely tell you that I love all sorts of art and the people that are all around it and support it. So with that said, I believe that this type of events will only get bigger and better by showing support to the local artists. With all the local artists and people to support them this art movement in the city will prevail and will make our city a hell of a better city. I also wanna say that aside from supporting the arts, the main reason in which I got a chance to participate in this event was because I got the honor to help and be part of my boy's
Bobby C new brand of tees called
studious. This was the launch of his very first series of tees and I can't say nothing but good things about him and his product. I can tell all of you that since my other boy
Juice and I helped out printing hard copies of 2 designs, help set up and help pick up after, I can tell all of you that it was a great experience to see something go from beginning to end. In the end its a very rewarding feeling seeing your product out there being exposed to the public, I can only imagine my boys' feeling as he put out his first tees out there of his very own brand. I know he's put a lot of time and hard work on this and all I can say is that we are all proud of him and can't wait to see more of his brand as the time comes... I wanna thank anyone and everyone that showed up and supported all of our local artists and also thank everyone that help make this a reality. The event was from 5 - 9ish but I gotta tell you, I ended up staying at the gallery next to the theater til nearly 2 am mingling, networking, and meeting new people. I met so many many new people and all I can say is that I can't wait to hangout sometime, do this all over again and meet more and more interested people with same interests.... Next Artes Alley is schedule for Dec 3 so mark it on your calendar, support your local artists, grab your friends, kids and everyone you know and head out to the Rose Marine Theater; you'll be in for a good time.... See you there !!
